Koh Samui is blessed with some of the most stunning beaches in Thailand. Whether you're looking for vibrant beach bars and water sports, or a quiet stretch of sand to call your own, there's a beach for every mood.
1. Chaweng Beach

The longest and most popular beach on the island, Chaweng stretches for 7 kilometres along the east coast. The sand is fine and white, the water crystal clear, and the beach is backed by a lively strip of restaurants, bars, and shops. It's the social hub of Samui — perfect for those who love energy and nightlife close at hand.
2. Choeng Mon Beach

Just 5 minutes from Park Samui, Choeng Mon is a quieter, more refined beach. The crescent-shaped bay has calm, shallow waters ideal for swimming and families. Several boutique resorts and excellent seafood restaurants line the beach. This is the beach our tenants visit most often.
3. Lamai Beach

Samui's second-largest beach offers a great balance between liveliness and relaxation. The southern end is quieter with interesting rock formations (the famous Hin Ta and Hin Yai), while the northern stretch has a bustling village atmosphere.
4. Bophut Beach (Fisherman's Village)

Bophut's charm lies in its character. The old Fisherman's Village has been beautifully preserved with wooden shophouses converted into boutique shops, galleries, and restaurants. The Friday Walking Street market is a highlight. The beach itself is pleasant for evening strolls with stunning sunset views.
5. Maenam Beach

A long, quiet beach on the north coast popular with long-term residents. Maenam has a laid-back local feel with affordable Thai restaurants and a weekly night market. The views across to Koh Phangan are beautiful, especially at sunset.
6. Lipa Noi Beach

On the west coast, Lipa Noi is one of Samui's best-kept secrets. The shallow water extends far out, making it perfect for wading and kayaking. Sunsets here are spectacular. It's quiet, uncrowded, and feels far from the tourist trail.
7. Silver Beach (Crystal Bay)

Tucked between rocks on the east coast, Silver Beach is a small but gorgeous cove with turquoise water. The snorkelling here is some of the best on the island. It's a bit of a hidden gem — small enough to feel exclusive, beautiful enough to take your breath away.
Making the Most of Samui's Beaches
One of the great advantages of a long-term stay at Park Samui is having time to explore all of these beaches at your own pace. No rushing between tourist spots — you can visit a different beach each week and still have favourites left to discover.
